Scientific Consensus Meeting

International PACVS Research Summit

Toward Diagnostic Criteria, Biomarkers, and Trials for Post-Acute Vaccination Syndrome

Virtual · By Invitation · June 2026

Why This Summit

Despite growing clinical and immunological evidence, there are no agreed diagnostic criteria, no validated biomarkers, and no completed randomized controlled trials for Post-Acute Vaccination Syndrome (PACVS). The International PACVS Research Summit is the first expert working meeting dedicated to closing these gaps through rigorous, consensus-based methods.

Three Outputs

📋

Consensus Statement

A co-authored, peer-reviewed paper establishing the first proposed diagnostic criteria and research priorities for PACVS.

🔬

Core Biomarker Panel

Expert consensus on candidate biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment monitoring in PACVS.

🔗

Research Network

An international working group of scientists, clinicians, and patient research partners committed to advancing PACVS research.

Our Approach

We use a modified Delphi consensus method — the same approach used by WHO to define Long COVID — combined with a structured virtual workshop. All panelists rate statements anonymously, discuss contested items in facilitated breakout groups, and finalize positions through iterative voting. The result is a transparent, reproducible consensus that meets peer-review standards.
